NDC in Action

NDC is not a new sales channel, nor is it GDS or travel agency bypass. On the contrary, NDC is an innovative new way for airlines to deliver their rich content via a standardized API to travel agencies via the GDS, thus providing better content delivery to the travel agency.


To succeed with new distribution, an airline must invest in its own pricing engine, merchandising engine, distribution rules engine, and standardized XML API. This is a significant investment for any airline to make, but the reward is equally significant. NDC enables an airline to deliver its best content across all distribution channels, including personalized offers, while protecting its brand standards.
